Did you know the Canal & River Trust has over 2000 miles of canals and rivers that flow through the country? Many of these miles are within our vibrant cities where significant developments are at planning stage and situated directly adjacent to the Canal & River Trusts property.

To gain approval from the Canal & River Trust to undertake works on or adjacent to their property you are required to abide by their Code of Practice which sets out the guidance and fees for developers to follow.

Canals and rivers are not familiar environments to work within and you may find yourself requiring assistance to help guide you through their requirements, or specialist contractors to undertake surveys to their assets, or even help you determine a suitable methodology or design to work respectfully around their assets. Luckily, our team have a combined experience of over 30 years working with, and at, the Waterways, building a wealth of knowledge and able to undertake a variety of civils works as summarised in the list below:
